Creating Test Cases

You can create a new test case to validate system requirements.

Before you begin: You must have created a test specification to contain the test case.

  1. From the Review pane, select the test specification node and click Test Case.
  2. Click Create new Test Case.
  3. Enter a descriptive name for the Title.
  4. Optional: Enter a Description to uniquely identify the test case.
  5. Optional: Select a Requirements Specification to link to the new test case.

    You can select more than one requirement.

  6. Optional: Select one or more Test Scripts to link to the new test case.

    You can attach test scripts in any state, except Obsolete.

  7. Click Create.

The new test case is displayed in the Review pane. The test case is in the In Work state, by default.
