Automation: Design of Experiments for a Loaded Cantilever Beam

This example guides you through creating and performing Design of Experiments simulations on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

You will learn how to:

  • Create the geometry of a part and define parameters that control the dimensions of the part.
  • Create a structural physics simulation that loads the part, and define parameters that extract the mass and the maximum displacement and stress from the results.
  • Create a Design of Experiments (DOE) simulation that explores changes in the geometry of the part and the resulting change in behavior.
  • Review the results of the design exploration.
  • Define objectives and search for the best design.
