Create the Team Dashboard

As Damien Dashboard Manager, create a team dashboard for members of your organization to access workflow dashboard templates and community information.

The team dashboard is a single source of truth for an organization to access role-based, standardized toolsets in the form of workflow dashboards. The team dashboard acts as a static, managed launchpad for these tools and as a gateway to information pertinent to the team.

Add Apps to the Team Dashboard

Create the team dashboard, and add apps. The apps listed below are suggestions for the workflow in this example. The design of your team dashboard can be customized to best fit your organization and workflow.

From the Compass, select 3DDashboard.
Create a new dashboard named Team Dashboard, and rename the New Tab to Templates.
Open the Compass and add Web Notes and 3DSwym to the dashboard.
Open the Compass and add 3DSpace to the dashboard.
Open the Compassand add 3DPlay to the dashboard.
Drag the document Getting Started on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform from your collaborative space in 3DSpace to 3DPlay.

Tip: You can also search for objects using 3DSearch.

These slides can inform team members who are new to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Create the Workflow Dashboard Template Table

Create a table containing links to templates of the workflow dashboards designed by the domain experts for their respective domains.

Within Web Notes, create a 2 x 3 table.
Add the following roles as a header in each column:
- Team Leader
- Design Engineer
- Simulation Analyst
In the second row, insert a link in each column to the workflow dashboard template that each domain expert created for each domain.

Team members will use this link to make a copy of the template for their domain, so that they can customize and use their own workflow dashboard.

You can also add images and links to specific tabs within each dashboard template. This is not required to complete this example.

Share the Team Dashboard

Give your team members access to the team dashboard so that they can view information and use the workflow dashboard templates. If you are completing this example alone, you can skip this section.

From the dashboard selection list in the top bar, share the team dashboard. For more information on sharing dashboards, see Share a Dashboard.
Select Manage members of this dashboard.
Add Taylor Team Leader, Darcy Design Engineer, and Sam Simulation Analyst as Readers.
The team members will receive an email notifying them that they have been added to the team dashboard.

You have created the team dashboard. Now your teammates can complete an engineering workflow using the team and workflow dashboards. Taylor Team Leader will create and manage the project using the team leader workflow dashboard.
