  1. Click 3DEXPERIENCE > New from Solid Edge toolbar.
The 3DEXPERIENCE New dialog box opens.
  2. Enter details for the new design including the following:
    • Templates - Select a template listed for the SE design to be created. The attributes that are displayed in the Attributes area depends on the attributes mapped by your administrator. You can edit the value of the attributes. To edit, click the attribute value under the value column and modify the values.

Specify the Name of the design using one of the following methods:

    • Name - Enter a name for the design.
    • Autoname - Select the Autoname check box and select the naming series from the drop down list. If any custom series specific to CAD Model / CAD Drawing is defined, then Autoname series drop down lists the custom series if the object of type derived from CAD Model / CAD Drawing is selected. For example, if N Size is defined as the custom series for CAD Drawing type, then N Size is displayed in the Autoname drop down list only when SE Drawing Template (which is derived from CAD Drawing) is selected as the template type.
Note: Selecting the Autoname checkbox disables the Name field.
    • The attributes that are mapped by your Integration Administrator are listed in the Attributes section. Enter values for the attributes under the Value column.
  3. Click OK when done.
The new design with the specified name opens in the active session of Solid Edge.
Note: The design is not saved to ENOVIA until you save the design using 3DEXPERIENCE > Save option.

The new design is created with the selected template and is loaded in Solid Edge.

The specified attributes with their values are stamped on the document.
