Lock/Unlock from the Open Dialog Box
You can lock or unlock a document from the Open dialog box.

			  In the 
				Open dialog box, search for required
				documents. For more information, see 
				Searching Designs.
			  
			 The column in the 
				Open dialog box displays the current lock
				status of the designs using the following icons: column in the

			  In the 
				Open 
				 dialog box, click the 
				 column for a document to change its lock status. column for a document to change its lock status.The following table lists the change in status: Current Lock Status Status on Clicking Icon    : Document is locked. : Document is locked.OR An error message is displayed if you do not have permissions to lock the document.    : Document is unlocked. : Document is unlocked.OR An error message is displayed if you do not have permissions to unlock the document.    : Document is unlocked. : Document is unlocked.OR In the Open dialog box, right-click a document and select Lock or Unlock to change its status. The Lock/Unlock option is available only if the MCADInteg-UnlockedModifiedReporting attribute is set to true in the GCO. Tip: You should manually remove the MCADInteg-FileReadOnlyBehavior attribute from the GCO as it no longer exists. For multiple selections, the following table lists the availability of Lock or Unlock options depending on the lock/unlock status of selected documents: Status of the Selected Documents Lock Availability Unlock Availability All locked No Yes - Unlock applies to all documents. All unlocked Yes - Lock applies to all documents No Locked by you and Unlocked Yes - Lock applies to the unlocked documents No Locked by another user and other status No No Note: The lock/unlock status is not updated real-time. Refresh the status to update modifications performed in the lock status outside the active Inventor session.
