  • Replace a previously saved card with the active card opened in the Card Editor.
  • Delete a saved card.
Select card to save includes these columns:

Title
The name of the saved card. The title includes an icon.

The card is saved locally to your system. Only you can access a locally saved card as it is unavailable to your users until you save it to the database.

Locally saved cards are always active for you, but are unavailable to your users until you save the card in the database.

Card Information Section

Use this section to specify the information specific to how the system should save the card. The Card Information Section includes:

Object type
Use Object type to select the Object type for the card you are saving. The default is the:
  • Object type of the card you are saving from the Card Editor.

If you change the object type in the Save Card dialog box , the card's properties inherit the saved object type. For example, if you are saving a card whose Card Properties show SW Assembly Family as the object type, and you save the card as a SW Component, SW Component becomes the object type when you reopen the card.

  • The Object type of the selected card in Select card to save.
Title
The name saved with the card. If you selected a card in Select card to save, the software uses the selected card's Title by default. Such would be the case when you save a customized card that you previously saved locally.

If you are saving a default card that you customized, change the Title.

Save only locally
When selected, saves the card locally on your own system. The card becomes the active card for the object type, but only for you. Your users cannot use the card until you save it to the database.

To save a locally saved card to the 3DEXPERIENCE server, you must clear the Save only locally check box.
