Click Checkbox
or select .
-
Click the card where you want to locate the check box.
-
From the Checkbox properties pane, in Caption, type the check box title.
It is common to make the check box caption the same as the attribute name.
-
From Attribute name, select an attribute to store the check box value.
Alternatively, you can select an attribute from the Attributes dialog box. The dialog box appears when you click Attributes. It contains a table of the available attributes, their entry types, and default values.
Select an attribute that works with the binary state of a check box (that is, selected or cleared). Choose an attribute that has a Yes or No Type or a Text Type that is applicable to True and False (for example, Move Files to Version).
- Optionally, select the following Flags check boxes:
- Read only to make the list read only, thereby not allowing users to enter values.
- Update all configurations to have the system update all configuration tabs of the data card with the value entered in the check box.
The update occurs when users select the check box.
- Select one of the following options from the Default value area:
- Select the Default overwrites check box if the selected value is to overwrite the existing attribute value when users copy or add files.
- In Excluded configuration, type the names of configurations that are to be excluded as default values for the check box.
Exclusion occurs when files are added to the database or when the addition of a new configuration generates default values.
Type one configuration name in per line. You can use * as a wildcard. For example, *magnet* excludes all configurations with "magnet" in the configuration name.
Note:
The software does not exclude configurations if the user manually
generates values.
Your customized card includes the check box.
