Type

The Type column describes the type of value the attribute permits. Click the Type column header to sort the attributes by type alphabetically or in reverse alphabetical order. This column contains one of the following for each attribute:

Text
The attribute accepts string values.

Some attributes with a text type are binary and, therefore, applicable as check box attributes. For example, Global Read is a text-type attribute with a False default value. When you use such text attributes, a False default means the check box is cleared whereas True occurs when users select the check box.

Date
The attribute accepts only date values.
Integer
The attribute accepts only integer values.
Decimal Number
The attribute accepts only decimal, or real, number values.
Yes or No
The attribute accepts Boolean values, in this case, Yes or No. Attributes with Yes or No Type are often used for check boxes. The Search attributes are Yes or No Type; they are used as check box attributes in the default Search card.

Default value

The Default value column displays the attribute's default value. Many attributes do not have a default value. Click the Default value column to sort the attributes alphabetically by default value or in reverse alphabetical order by default value.
