  • Referenced iteration
  • Latest iteration
  • Latest Released Revision
These preferences affect what the system displays in the Contains tab for the referenced, or subordinate, files of the selected file:

Option Description
Referenced Iteration Use this option to retrieve all the objects that are connected to the selected file at the time of check in. This option shows the physically connected structure. The option works within the same revision of all items in the given structure. Therefore, it displays the latest iteration within the selected revision. Check in and modification by all users results in As-Built view.
Referenced Iteration when performing on an older Iteration If the Get operation is initiated from an older iteration of a parent design and you apply "Referenced Iteration" view then, the retrieved structure displays the iteration of child designs that are connected to this iteration of parent design at the time of check-in resulting in As-Saved view.
Latest Iteration Provides the latest revision and iteration to all children objects in the dialog. This option considers the latest of everything outside the selected assembly's revision stream.
Latest released revision Use this option to display the latest released revision and iteration of the selected nodes and its underlying structure. If no released revision is found for a particular node, the system displays the node retrieved by applying the referenced iteration view to the parent node.
The default is Referenced iteration.

IterationThe iteration data varies with your selection from toolbar for Reference iteration and Iteration. To interpret the values, use these guidelines:
  • First value is the file iteration for the referenced file. For example if a C.0 computer assemble contains the B.0 iteration of a fan, the first value is C.0 for the computer assembly and B.0 for the fan even if a later version of the fan exists on the server.
  • Second value is the latest iteration of the file on the server. For example, the latest verison of the computer assemble is C.0 and the fan is now at C.0.
  • Gray iteration values indicate the referenced version matches the latest available version of the file on the server.
  • Bold black iteration values indicate the referenced iteration (first value) is not the latest version on the file on the server. In the example of the computer assembly and the fan, the Contains tab displays the fan iteration in bold black.
Checked Out ByUser who has the file checked out or blank if it is not checked out.
