Opening a Checked-in Assembly or Drawing

You can open in SOLIDWORKS a checked-in assembly or drawing and still have the opportunity to open and check out from the server the linked files.

  1. From the Windows Explorer view of Connector for SOLIDWORKS, double-click the assembly or drawing.
  2. From the Open Unlocked File dialog box, click More Information.
    The system opens SOLIDWORKS and displays the Open Unlocked File dialog box, which notifies you that the file is not locked or checked out and asks if you want to check it out so that you can modify the file.
  3. From the Check Out dialog box, select each file you want to check out.

    To check out all the linked files, from the top of the Check Out column, click the check box.

The system checks out from the server all the files selected in the Check Out dialog box and opens the assembly or drawing in SOLIDWORKS.
