Checking Overlapping

You can check if the walls on edge that you have created do not overlap.


Before you begin: Create a part with walls that intersect as shown below.

  1. From the Model section of the action bar, click Check Overlapping.
    The overlapping area is highlighted in white and the cutting line in yellow. The skin of the part is highlighted in pink. A frame also appears in the 3D area.

    Tip: You can also press Alt+O.
  2. In the frame, select one of the following options:
    • Top: The top skin is selected to solve the overlapping.
    • Bottom: The bottom skin is selected to solve the overlapping.
  3. Click Solve overlapping .
    The overlapping is solved by cutting the walls at their intersection.
    Notes:
    • Only simple overlapping cases can be automatically solved. Overlappings where both walls and bends are intersecting are not detected.
    • This command only detects the overlapping occurring in the active view.
    • The Check overlapping command is also available in the Unfold mode.
