Drawing a Closed Profile on a Face

You can draw a closed profile on the border of a face and choose to create either a cutout or a tangent wall.

Before you begin:
  • Create a shape.
  • Select Display combine commands in Me > Preferences Natural Shape > Display > Drawing.

Creating Cutouts
  1. From the Model section of the action bar, click Rectangle .
    Note: This capability is available with all closed profiles.
  2. Draw the profile on the border of a face.


  3. Click when done.
    A context toolbar appears.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To add material to the shape, click Create a tangent wall .

    • To remove material to the shape, click Create a cutout .
