Configure Attribute Mapping
You can map the user-defined attributes for a physical product to user-defined attributes and some default attributes for a part. This mapping allows collaboration between the web apps and native apps.
- In the menu in the left pane, click Collaboration Management.

Click Attribute mapping for EBOM/Product Collaboration.
The attribute mapping between physical product and part is displayed in a table.
Column Name Description Product attribute The attributes for physical product. Side The mapping direction. Part attribute The attributes for part. Actions The actions that you can perform on the mapping. Click
to delete the mapping. Some mappings are not
removable.Click
to undo the operation if a deployed or stored mapping is
selected to be deleted. The operation cannot be undone if the result
conflicts with another mapping.Click
to restore the direction. The deployed or stored direction is
restored, and the modified direction is discarded. The direction cannot be
restored if the result conflicts with another mapping.Deploy Status The status of the mapping. Icon Description Green 
Mapping is applied and deployed. Black 
Mapping is newly created and not yet deployed. Yellow 
Mapping is stored using import and the changes are not yet deployed. Red 
Mapping is deleted and the changes are not yet deployed. Mapping is deleted because of conflict during import and the changes are not yet deployed.
Yellow 
Stored mapping is deleted and the changes are not yet deployed. Red 
Stored mapping contains an error or an incompatible range. Click the icon for more information about the error. -
To add a mapping, click
.
An empty row is added. -
Select a physical product attribute to map.
Attributes that are already mapped are unavailable.

Select a part attribute to map.
Some attributes are unavailable if:
- They are already mapped.
- They are not of the same type as the product attribute.
- Their ranges are not defined.
- Their ranges are not compatible with the range of the product attribute.
If no part attributes are compatible with the product attribute,
appears next to the part attribute list. Click
to
see the reason for incompatibility.The Deploy Status changes to Black

You can also modify the direction for existing mappings. When you modify the direction, the status changes to green
for deployed
mappings and yellow
for stored
mappings.The Modify direction panel appears. It shows the current mapping direction and the available mapping directions that you can select. By default, the direction is defined as Both. -
Select a mapping direction and click Apply.
If a mapping direction is unavailable, click
to see
the reason. -
Click Apply.
The mapping is created.
You can also import and export attribute mappings. For more information, see Exporting and Importing Configurations.
Notes:- If a part attribute or a product attribute from an existing mapping is present in a mapping to be imported, it is considered as a conflict.
- If a mapping to be imported conflicts with an existing mapping, the existing mapping is deleted and the new mapping is imported and added.
- If a mapping to be imported is identical to an existing mapping, the existing mapping is retained.
- If a mapping is deleted because of conflict during import and the changes are deployed, the mapping is not listed.
