The Space SystemThe Space Concept RootThe space concept root consists of space hierarchy which publishes space cells as spaces. You can organize these spaces as required and filter other design objects using published spaces. The space hierarchy takes its inputs (such as external space, cutting elements, etc) from the space manager. It captures your intent of how to build a view (space concept) from the existing space cells cut by the space manager. Each space hierarchy has one-to-one relation with the space concept root. Space Concept NodesSpace concept nodes are created under the space concept root. It organizes hierarchy of all space cells. The Space FolderThe space folder contains space references. The space folder is not a mandatory element under the space root. Space References
There are mainly two types of space references, namely, design space reference and manufacturing space reference. You can define other specialized space reference type also. Space reference calculates volume for spaces. One reference can be instantiated multiple times, for different space concepts. If the space folder is not set under the space root, an existing space reference is not multi-instantiated for other space concept roots; new space references are created instead. | |||||||||
