Publishing Sketch Space Cells

You can take the external volume from the sketch space manager and organize the hierarchy of all space cells under the space concept root. You can publish the spaces and space concepts.


Before you begin: Create space cells using sketches. For more information, see Creating Space Cells Using Sketches.
  1. Double-click the space system representation to activate it.
  2. From the Operations section of the action bar, click Space Concept Root .
    The Space Concept Root dialog box appears. The Space Cells area lists the space cells available under the space manager. The Cutting Families area is unavailable.
  3. In the Title box, enter the title of the space concept root.
    Note: The Name box displays the name that is assigned to the space concept root as per the naming convention.
  4. Select one of the following space types:
    • Design Space
    • Manufacturing Space
    • Any other user-defined space type
  5. In the Space Cells area, select the space cells to highlight them in the tree and in the 3D area.
  6. Click OK.

    A progress bar is displayed, informing you the name and the progress of the space references that are being generated. The space concept root is created under the space root in the tree. The data selected from the space manager is transferred to the space hierarchy. The space references are created under the space folder. The spaces are published and the publications are created.
