Managing the Sketch Orientation

You can manage the sketch orientation by assigning the predefined orientation XML file in Data Setup.

Before you begin:
  1. Open the reference plane system.
  2. Right-click the 3D area, and select Display > Action Pad and click Positioned Sketch .
    The Sketch Positioning dialog box appears.
  3. Select any reference plane as a support plane.
    The name of the selected box appears in the Reference box. The orientation is automatically computed as per the defined sketch orientation convention. You are switched to the Sketcher app. The sketcher view follows the sketch orientation convention.
  4. From the Sketch section of the action bar, click Line and draw a line.
  5. Click Exit app .
    You are back to Space Referential app. The line is drawn.
