Creating Plane Groups

You can create plane groups by specifying the end plane number and spacing between reference planes.


Before you begin: Create a reference plane system.

About Table Editor
  1. From the Operations section of the action bar, click Table Editor .
    The Table Editor dialog box appears.
  2. In the Plane System list, select a plane system.
    All reference planes of the selected plane system are displayed.
  3. Select the Plane Group tab.
    The plane groups of the selected plane system are displayed. A plane system contains at least one plane group.
  4. Right-click a cell and select Insert After .
    A new plane group is added after the selected group with a spacing value as 0.
    Tip: To add a plane group above the selected plane group, right-click a cell and select Insert Before.
  5. Enter the required number of planes.
  6. Enter the required spacing value.
    The name of plane group is updated in the Plane Group column, displaying the names of start and end reference planes. The From and To columns are updated displaying the modified distance.
    Important:
    • The spacing value for the new plane group should be different from the spacing value for existing plane group, else the new plane group merges with the existing group.
    • You can pause over the Start and End columns to identify the name of the start and end reference plane of a plane group. A tooltip displays the name of reference planes.
  7. Click OK.
    A new plane group is created.
