Using a Configuration Filter

If several configurations are available for the item, you can refine the metric computation according to a configuration. You can also compare different configurations.

Before you begin: When your component has more than six configurations, a search box is displayed enabling you to filter by name the list of configurations. You can select the configuration on which you want to work before entering Sustainability Assessment. The web page displays the consolidated metrics for this chosen item. If you hover over the chart, a tooltip displays the metric values.
  1. To obtain a dedicated assessment on a specific configuration, select a filter in the filter box.

When a filter has been applied on an item through a specification filter in the 3DDashboard Web Client or through a predefined configuration in the Native Client, you do not need to redefine it in the Sustainability Assessment apps. This item is automatically taken into account with its filter, when you drag it to the apps.

If several pre-defined filters are applied to a specific entity, the Sustainability Assessment apps will display this list of filters automatically.

Note: If several kinds of filters have been applied on the item, and if you hover over the filter icon in the Sustainability Assessment apps, a message is displayed explaining that the configuration filter is retrieved, not the Semantic and Volume filters.
  2. To check the name of the preselected configuration in Sustainability Assessment, after entering the Sustainability Assessment app, click in the title bar.

The orange figure on the filter icon indicates that a (default) configuration has been defined for the item. The information is only available in an authoring session (not in a navigating session).

    1. To change the default configuration in Sustainability Assessment, click .
The Filters dialog box is displayed at the bottom of the Sustainability Assessment web page. In the Configuration tab, there is the list of the existing configurations.
    2. Select another configuration (Conf2 for example) in the list.

    3. To run the data query, click Apply.
The web page displays the consolidated metrics for your entity, taking the selected configuration into account. If you hover over the chart, a tooltip displays the metric values.
    4. To compare two configurations of an item, click and select a second configuration in the list.
    5. Click Apply.
The web page displays the consolidated metrics.
