Adding a Community

You can add a new community to 3DSwym To allow employees to create one by themselves, see Create a community in Manage Settings.


Before you begin: You must be Administrator of the platform.
  1. Select either of the following:

    • In a 3DSwym standalone app, in the top bar, click Add > Community.
      Note: The 3DSwym widget choices below also apply to the 3DSwym standalone app.
    • In a 3DSwym widget, select the Communities tab, and in the left pane:
      • Click Create community.
      • Click Show All, and on the upper-right of the list of communities, click Create a Community.

    The Create a Community form box appears.
  2. In the Title and Description fields, enter the title of your community and a a comprehensive description.
  3. In the Community Type list, select a type.
    Note: Select the type which best fits your community audience. The available types are created by the administrator of the platform.
  4. In the Community Owner field, keep your own name or type the name of the user you want to set as the community owner.
    A list displays the available members as you type.
  5. Select the owner.
  6. Click Create.

A message confirms that the community has been successfully created.
