Using Design with SOLIDWORKS, you can:
- Access 3DEXPERIENCE capabilities within the SOLIDWORKS user interface. You can search,
navigate, share, and store CAD design data effortlessly without leaving your
preferred environment.
- Store native SOLIDWORKS data in 3DEXPERIENCE. You can create assemblies, parts, and
drawings in 3DEXPERIENCE using a unified data model. The data
created in SOLIDWORKS can be authored only in SOLIDWORKS, but can be opened for review in 2D and
3D 3DEXPERIENCE widgets and CATIA.
- Manage concurrent engineering and collaborative operations on SOLIDWORKS native data: lock, revise, and manage
lifecycle maturity status.
- Use the 3DSearch, Product Explorer, Relations, Bookmark Editor, Collaborative Tasks, or access the 3DEXPERIENCE
dashboard from SOLIDWORKS Desktop, to access all 3DEXPERIENCE
apps working with the adopted unified data
model.
To access user assistance for SOLIDWORKS Connected, Visualize Connected, DraftSight Connected,
and the 3DEXPERIENCE add-ins for Visualize and DraftSight, see help.solidworks.com.

The instructions documented in this guide are applicable only for Design with SOLIDWORKS
