Disconnecting a Project

This task shows you how to disconnect an active project from DesignSync. This does not remove the project from your workspace or from the server. If you want to delete the project from the workspace, see Deleting Objects. If you want to delete a project or module from the server, see the ENOVIA Synchronicity DesignSync Data Manager User's Guide.

Before you begin: You must have a project populated your workspace.
  1. Select the desired project and choose DesignSync | Disconnect.
This launches the Disconnect Project dialog.
  2. Select the method of handling the DesignSync metadata and press Finish.
    • Also delete the DesignSync meta information from the file system
    • Do not delete the DesignSync meta information (e.g. .SYNC sub-directories)
The disconnect command starts. The output of the command is logged to the DesignSync console view. The decorations for the objects change to reflect that the objects are no longer under source control.

The connection between the Eclipse client and the DesignSync server is removed. The project and its files remain in the workspace and the module or vault(s) remain on the server.
