Exporting Process Data to an XML File

You can export all process related information to file, for further application such as cost computation.

An XML configuration file (startup\Tooling\TDF\ProcessAttributes.xml) drives the export.

  1. From the Method Planning section of the action bar, click Process Export .
  2. By default, the table only displays the not filled values.
    1. Click All Parameters on the left to display all parameters and their value on the right.
    2. Double-click an element to reframe on it in the 3D area and display its parameters and values.
    3. Check the required check boxes (Display Optional Values, Display Manual Values Only)to manage the display of parameters in the table

      By default,

      • Only values declared as mandatory in the configuration file are displayed.
      • All values (Computed by Die Face Design or entered manually by you) are displayed.

  3. Click Compute All Values .
    Parameters values are computed from their ID and previous definition.
  4. Select Export Screenshots to export them as .png files.

    You can customize the 3D scene before taking the screenshot.

    After the standard XML export, you are asked to take screenshots.
    • Of a global process view of all method plans if several exist.
    • Of the blank section.
    • Then of each method plan process
    • Then of each OP.

    PNG files are created and stored next to the .xml files created by the export, under the following paths:

    • Export_xml.xml: Reference XML file created by Process Export.
    • Export_xml.xml_screenshots: Main screenshot directory, created next to the xml file.
      • Process.png: Only if several method plans, combined view of all method plans.
      • Process Method Plan.1: Name depends on the feature name in tree
        • Process.png: Global view of this process method plan.

  5. Click Export and enter a file path.
    The data are saved in a XML file. It contains

    • The axis system coordinates.
