Creating a Fillet Connect

You can create a Fillet Connect to fill or extend a surface where the boundaries contain fillets.

For more information on the three available modes, see About Fillet Connect.

  1. From the Die Face section in the action bar, click Fillect Connect .
  2. Select the mandatory inputs.
    1. Select an axis system.
    2. Select a boundary.
    3. Select a part surface.
  3. Select the relevant check boxes and click Apply.
    • Automatic Analysis: Computes automatically a surface extension, if possible.
    • Fill inner boundary: Adds a complementary fill to the extended areas created in the inner boundaries.
The Pair Selection table is filled with
    • A list of Edges A (Found on one side),
    • A list of Edges B (Found on the other side).
    • On the same row, you see the Edge A and its corresponding Edge B, and the spline created to connect them.
    • For each pair, a delimitation of the boundary is created, from which a surface is created.
Note: If the delimitation contains several pair of edges, they guide the resulting surface through the spline that connects both sides.
  4. If required
    1. Select more pairs of edges to create surfaces.
    2. Or delete a pair from the context menu.
    3. Or edit a spline from the context menu.

The Fillet Connect features are created in the tree. They contain the created splines that can be edited.
