Searching For a 3DEXPERIENCE Object in the Database

From the properties area, you can search for any 3DEXPERIENCE object in the database, by its title or its identifier.

Note: To search a 3DEXPERIENCE object in the database, it is recommended to use one of the following methods:

  1. Select a 3DEXPERIENCE tree category or a 3DEXPERIENCE root node.
  2. From the properties area, click Search .
  3. In the Search for box, enter a string for your search. If needed, use the following special character:
    Special characterDescription
    * Replaces zero or more characters.
  4. In the Type list, select a type.
  5. Click OK to display the search result in a search basket.
