Analyzing Coverage in a Matrix

From the Coverage view, you can open the Matrix view to display the coverage links of the analyzed element in a table. You can add or remove links from this matrix view.

Open the Matrix View

  1. From the navigation bar, click Matrix (third bullet) to display your coverage in a matrix view.

    The matrix displays the linked elements as follows:

    • Source elements are displayed in rows
    • Target elements are displayed in columns

  2. To resize the column title or row title, drag its frame.

Filter the Matrix View

  1. To filter the structure, select an element and click one of these contextual commands:
    CommandDescription
    Keep Object Keeps the branch of the selected element (parent and child levels).
    Hide Object Hides the selected element and its children from the structure.

    Tip: To unhide these objects, click Restore Complete View .

  2. To display specific elements in the selected structure:
    1. Enter a string in the Quick Filter box.
    2. Press Enter.
    3. To remove the string, click the cross in the Quick Filter box.
    • The columns presenting elements with this string in their title, description, or properties are displayed.
    • The other columns are hidden.

Edit Links in the Matrix View

  1. From the context menu, click Link Creation and select a link type to activate the edit mode.

    Notes:
    • The matrix displays the existing links that are captured from the model or link set.
    • In the column header, a red color indicates uncovered requirements.
    • You can edit the following link types:
      • Link set
      • RefImplements
      • OccImplements
      • Covers (Requirements only)

  2. To remove or create a link, hover over a cell and click one of these commands:
    • Link Creation :

    • Link Deletion :

Change the Matrix Root Object

  1. In the Matrix view, right-click a source or target element.
  2. From the context menu, click Set as Root.

  3. To restore the full view, click Partial View next to the root element.
