Defining Root Elements Parameters

You can define some parameters of a root element in a scope.


Before you begin: Create a scope with root elements.
  1. In the Scopes category of the tree, open a scope and click Edit .
  2. Expand the Roots node and select a root element.
  3. From the context toolbar, click Parameters .
  4. In the Parameters dialog box, define the values.

    Note: The proposed parameters depend on the selected element. This table provides examples.

    OptionDescription
    Analysis Type Displays the associated pattern.

    You can do one of the following:

    • Drag a pattern to the Analysis Type box, to associate a pattern to this root element.
      Tip: You can also drag a pattern onto the root element in the tree.
    • Clear this field to remove the associated pattern.

    Configuration Filter Filters the root element to take into account either a product configuration filter, or a model version.

    Do one of the following:

    • From the list, select a product configuration filter.
    • From the tree, drag a product configuration filter or a model version.

    Coverage Takes into account sublevel objects.
    Note: This option appears only for requirements, functional, logical, and physical objects. For more information, see RFLP Coverage.

    Select this option to include objects in the traceability coverage computation.

    By default, this option is selected.
