Text Marker Context Toolbars

This section describes the context toolbars that you can use to create and modify text markers. Text marker context toolbars are available depending on the product, context, and type of action. The tables below list the most commonly used tools.

Text Marker Creation Context Toolbar



Text Marker Type

Defines the type of text marker. Displays five recently used text marker categories and emoticons, and the option to view the Emoticon Selector Panel.

  • - Creates a text marker.
  • - Creates a text marker with a caution icon.
  • - Creates a text marker with an information icon.
  • - Creates a text marker with an attention icon.
  • - Creates a text marker with a stop emoticon.
  • - Displays the Emoticon Selector Panel. For more information, see Emoticons.



Text Template

Defines the template for the text marker.

$ID denotes the associated part name.

$POS denotes the last cursor position.

$USER denotes the user id logged on the application.

$DATE denotes the current date based on the system.

$TIME denotes the current time based on the system.

Note: $USER, $DATE and $TIME are only available in 3D Associative mode.


Font Style

Defines the font family to be used in the text marker.



Font Size

Defines the font size to be used in the text marker.

Increase Text Font Size

Increases the font size.

Decrease Text Font Size

Decreases the font size.

Insert CATIA Symbol

Displays the Symbol context toolbar.

Note: This context toolbar is available only in CATIA on Windows platforms. Using symbols changes the font style of the marker to CATIA Symbols (PS).



OK

Applies the changes and creates the text marker.

Text Marker Properties Context Toolbar

Leader with Arrow

Adds a leader with an arrow.

Leader with Circle

Adds a leader with a circle.

Leader with None

Adds a plain leader.

Cloud Leader

Adds a cloud leader.



Hide Leader

Hides the leaders.

Default

Applies the default style to the marker.

Light

Applies the light style to the marker.

Measure

Applies the measure style to the marker.

Note

Applies the note style to the marker.

Validate

Applies the validate style to the marker.

Warning

Applies the warning style to the marker.

Danger

Applies danger style to the marker.

Graphic Properties

Lets you customize the graphical properties of the marker.

Hide/Show

Hides or shows the marker.
