Workflow

This topic describes a procedure for reviewing and validating products.

This task shows you how to:

Review the Product (Reviewer)

  1. Import and open the product.
  2. Set the preferences as required.
  3. From the Compass, click Design Synthesis.
A review with markup is created on the product.
  4. Take measurements on different parameters in the product. See Measuring.
  5. Create an interference simulation to check for any clashes. See Working with Interferences.
  6. Add different markers to locate and to highlight the errors. See Working with Markers.
  7. Use Sectioning and Sectioning Using Surface to locate the blind errors. See Sectioning and Creating a Section Along a Surface.
  8. Create slides to capture the errors. See Creating a Slide.
  9. Use co-review to interactively review the digital mockup with the designer. See About Co-Review support for a Review.

Compare the Products and Publish the Review (Leader)

  1. After all change actions are completed by the members (for example, after designers corrected the designs), compare the new and old products.
    1. Use Compare to identify the differences between the products. See Comparing.
    2. If required, take the measurements on the compare result and run the interference simulation again to verify the corrections.
  2. If the product is error-free, set the status of all the checks to OK.
  3. Publish the review. See Publishing the Review Report.
