Publish the Content of a Representation
You can create a publication associated with a pointed element in a representation.
- From the Product Modification section of the action bar, click Create a Publication .

Select an object (for example, select a PartBody in a 3D Shape representation).
Important: You cannot create a publication on the representation of a 3D part. You can create a publication at the 3D part level. Tip: On a cylinder pad, you can create the publication: - On the axis: If the Publish by default the Axis of a curved surface option is selected
- On the face: If the Allow publication of faces, edges, vertices and axes
extremities option is selected.
To access these options, open Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling Systems Architecture > Publications. See Native Apps Preferences Guide: Publication.
The Publication dialog box appears. -
From the Publication tab, in the Functional
Name box, enter a name for the publication.
Note: By default, the name of the published element is proposed. You can accept the default name or enter a different name.
Tip: From the Published Element tab, the detailed path and a preview are displayed. - Click Finish to close the dialog box.The publication appears in the tree.Notes:
- Publications on representations can be edited in the context of a product structure and also in a pure mechanical part context.
- If several publications exist under the Publications node, they are ordered alphabetically. To customize the publications order in the tree, see Display.
