Defining Business Values for a Single Entity

You can edit values or human activities attached to an entity in the Business Value Definition widget in both the 3DEXPERIENCE and 3DDashboard in Weight and Balance. The widget operates in conjunction with a selection in the rich client, or a drag-and-drop interface in a web client.

Before you begin:
  • Product properties need to be indexed in the Exalead CloudView. See Terms of Use.
  • The Server Status Checker displays the statuses of the Dispatcher, SCALA and Index. The status of all three needs to be OK.

  1. Optional: To verify the server status, click Check server status and select Dispatcher, ORPHEUS Controller Server or Semantic Graph Index .
    You can see blue indicators when the status is valid, or gray indicators when it is not. A tooltip indicates what you should do or provides the index scan date.
  2. Click the Compass and click Product Performance Assessment.
    Product Performance Assessment displays in the dashboard.
  3. Click Data Authoring in the action bar.
  4. Select Business Value Definition .
  5. Select the Weight and Balance cockpit from the list of available cockpits.
  6. Click Home .
    This section makes it possible to assign and edit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  7. Assign a KPI to an entity by clicking and entering the desired values. You can modify existing values by clicking Edit .

    Note: Computed, measured, estimated, and declared KPIs are displayed. Save and run Launch Index Scan to see the changes.
