The top bar of the panel consists of an editor on the left and a series of commands on the right. The editor allows for the changing of the Data Collect Plan Reference’s name. The changes commit as soon as the editor loses focus and pressing ESC while the editor has focus reverts to any unsaved changes.

Name
You can accept the default name provided or create your own. The name includes the name of the work instruction type in this case, Data Collect Plan.

Options

Unlink a Resource from a Data Collect Row
This unlinks the resource from the Data Collect Row.
Link a Resource to a Data Collect Row
Select one or more rows, then Link a Resource to a Data Collect Row. From the Spec tree, 3D Window, or in the Item & Resource or in the Capable Resources panel select the resource.

The linked resource information displays in the Resource Link column in the DCP Panel.

If there are already Capable Resources linked to Rows, then running the Link Resource command replaces the existing linked Resource with the newly selected one.

Note: The Item & Resource panel is visible only if the Review is Active and the App Options has enabled the panel visibility. In other cases, an alternate Capable Resources panel opens to choose among the Preferred Primary Capable Resource and its corresponding Secondary Capable Resources.

The capable resources that are allowed for linking are the Preferred Primary Capable Resource. This includes its corresponding Secondary Capable Resources that are linked to the Header Operation of the Step Operation that is active in the filmstrip.

Note: Only one capable resource can be linked to a DCP Row at a time. A capable resource cannot be linked to a DCP Row of type Computed (a Formula can only be associated with a Computed row.)

This displays the pop out editor, Formula Editor, to modify a formula in a row.
Attributes
The Attributes starts the attributes manager for the DCP Reference. This allows for access to the attributes of the reference including custom attributes.
Edit Filters
The filter is enabled once a row is added to the panel. It starts an in-panel widget that allows for filtering of content by a selected column header.
Edit Row Attributes
The Attributes manager becomes enabled once a row is added to the panel. It starts an in-panel widget that allows for the defining of which attributes to display and in what order to display them.
Add Data Collect Row
The Add Row is used to start a dialog for Data Collect row creation.
Remove Data Collect Row
The Remove Row is used to delete the selected Data Collect rows from the list.
Modify Data Collect Row
The Modify Data Collect Row is used to start the pop-out dialog for an update of the selected row. For some attributes such as those containing Rich Text, this is the only way data can modify. This is versus other attributes that can be modified directly within the cell list.
Increases Rank Order
The Increase Rank is used to change the order of the selected row.
Move After
The Move After is used to change the order of the selected row.
Decreases Rank Order
The Decrease Rank is used to change the order of the selected row.
Attached Documents
The Attached Documents only becomes visible when documents have been attached to the DCP. Its behavior is the same as that from the existing Work Instruction Dialogs. Clicking opens the Attached Documents panel.

List of Data Collect Rows

Once one or more Data Collect rows create, the information appears in the list.

A selection of a row allows for manipulation such as Rank change, removal, or Edit using Modify. In addition, you can quickly edit certain rows (Label, Number of Measures, Minimum, Values, and Maximum) by double-clicking directly in a cell.

In the existing Data Collect Plan panel, an alert icon displays to the left of the formula in case it is invalid.

Note: The same set of checker rules is used by the Formula Validity command, the DCP Panel, and the Formula Editor to flag a Formula as invalid.
