Product BuildUp Options Panel

The Product Buildup Options panel displays different categories of buildup that can be turned off or on. They can be differentiated with the colors along with the transparency within the Global Operation and the Views within that Operation.

Click Product Buildup Options at the right edge of the work area.

This page discusses:

You can also view any other Global Operation by selecting it and the dialog box changes to reflect that operation.

The View is saved in the settings when it is captured. This way, when you Activate Views, you can modify a view or return to those from the saved settings.

You may see Additional Products at the bottom of the list of the dialog box. If required, see Additional Products to activate.

Altering, an icon appears on an icon or in the Color and Transparency options. This means that the graphic property value of the option in the panel is different from the real value defined globally for this category of buildup. That option has been modified by the application of the View.

Click to reset for global values.

Object Selection and Lock Status

Lock Product Buildup
ON : Locks the Global Operation The name of the selection appears on the left-hand side of the Product Buildup Options panel.
OFF : Updates the Product Buildup Options panel with the status and the name of the current selection.

Display

This section provides options that control the resources and parts color display.

Show Buildup Color
ON : Displays parts according to the defined buildup colors.
OFF : Displays parts according to the design colors.
Resources Display
Show All Resources : Displays all the resources.
Show Only Assigned Resources : Displays in the 3D geometry window only the resources assigned to the selected Operation.
Hide All Resources : No resources display.
Show FT&A
ON : FTA requirements defined on operations are displayed.
OFF : FTA requirements defined on operations do not display.
Note: Enabling resources display, product buildup manages positions defined on operations. However, this option does not take into account when using the Define Position and Copy Position capabilities. In these cases, resources implementing the operation are displayed in color and other resources are displayed in a ghost mode (black transparency).

Color and Transparency Options

You can define the color and transparency of the buildup categories of manufactured items and resources. The buildup categories displayed vary according to the selected object.

Each option has:

  • A Show or Hide command to show or hide the corresponding manufacturing geometry.
  • A check box to switch between the design color and buildup color.
  • A slider to manage the transparency value:
    • Whenever the opacity value is specified as 0%, the corresponding geometry is not displayed.
    • Whenever the opacity value is specified as 100%, the corresponding geometry is displayed fully opaque, regardless of the opacity value specified on the part.
    • When the value is in between, the opacity is combined with the value specified directly on the part itself.
  • A color command that runs a color palette to manage the color of the corresponding geometry.

Current
Displays objects according to the linked current operation.
Note: Also applicable for products or resources.

By default, color and transparency values activate. Yellow and 100% opacity.

By default, the opacity value is the opacity value defined in the structure.

Previous in a System
Displays all previous operations in the current system.

By default, color and transparency values activate. Blue and 100% opacity.

Previous
Items linked to operations from previous systems or work plans.

By default, color and transparency values activate. Blue and 100% opacity.

Parallel
Displays all objects in parallel.

By default, color and transparency values deactivate. Orange and 75% opacity.

Context
Manufacturing context, which is any manufacturing item, which does not implement by an operation that is loaded.

When updating the option value (selected to Enable selection or Disable selection) in App Options, it stores in the CATPreferences. Launching a future 3DEXPERIENCE the option is selected according to the latest valuation (Enable or Disable) defined in the CATPreferences.

By default, color and transparency values deactivate. White and 75% opacity.

Removed
Displays all unloading operations or operations implementing a disassembly.

By default, color and transparency values activate, violet and 100% opacity.

Additional Products
To see these you have to go into the Preferences, Product Build Up, and select Display additional products and you can also add Display capable resources.

Any product that implements by the manufactured item. Any product or parts that do not have an item link to it.

By default, color and transparency values activate. Red and 100% opacity.
