Sign off Dialog Box

The Sign Off dialog box is a request for a series of actors to verify that work was performed correctly. Includes optional instructions for these actors in term of what to inspect and by what standards. Selecting Create Sign Off, click the resulting work instruction reference on the list for the operation. Alternatively, the Sign Off dialog box appears when you click a Sign Off work instruction that already exists.

Read-Only Identifiers

If you cannot edit a work instruction, the system marks it with a read-only identifier.
Locked

Another user has locked the instruction.

Maturity

The instruction's maturity level keeps you from editing the instruction.

Sign off Text

Name
You can accept the default name provided or create your own.

the name includes the name of the work instruction type (in this case, sign off).

Instruction Text
You can use copy/paste during text entry. If you enter more text than is visible in the initial box, scroll bars appear. The text cannot include any kind of formatting tags or commands, such as those for italics or bold.

Actors

This area consists of a list representing the role of the person on the shop floor who signs off on the work specified in the instruction. They can either select or cancel the selection actors during an edit in the Quick Edit dialog box. The selection of SignOff actors is not mandatory.

Note: A People and Organization software user defines actors for your database, the DELWKISignOffRoleFilter.CATRule in \ win_b64 \ resources \ knowledge \ scripts.

When you first use Work Instructions and click Add Actor , and the roles box appears. They add from your database. Afterward, you can access the roles from Load Roles list.



Note: The Sign Off command verifies the validity of any actors you select. If you attempt to add an actor using the Properties dialog box, you do not benefit from this verification. Use the Sign Off dialog box to create or modify sign off.
Remove Actor
For all but the last entry, click to remove the actor.
Add Actor
Clicking this command creates a new field in which you can select the name of an actor who must sign off on the operation. The last field always contains Add Actor.
Allow Partial Sign Off
If you select this check box, actors may sign off incomplete work. For example, when a job is complicated, you can choose to allow a it for a partial completion.
Sign Off Not Mandatory
If you select this check box, you are designating it as optional.
Note: You can search for previously saved Sign Off work instructions in the top bar. Use the search shortcut wis.

Actors provide:

  • During the creation of Sign Off, the first Sign Off an Actor is assigned by default.
  • When editing Sign Off Work Instructions, edit by Quick Edit, and presses OK or Apply,
    1. Verification performs to confirm if at least one actor assigns.
    2. If not assigned, a blocking message No Sign Off Actors assigned. Assign at least one actor. appears and Quick Editdoes not close.

This does not verify the Sign Off (for validity Sign Off Actors) that were created before this. However, when editing such legacy Sign Off, the validity of Sign Off Actors is carried out as mentioned above.
