Using Create Data Collect Checklist Instruction

You can add checklists for their process plan, which composes entirely of Rows of type Boolean.

  1. Click Data Collect Checklist from the Instruction Authoring action bar.

    The created type is listed in the Textual Instructions panel.

    Similar to the Data Collect Plan, double-click or right-click Quick Edit to start the Data Collect Checklist panel. The panel is similar to the Data Collect Plan panel with the exception that Formula Row Creation/Edition commands are not available.

  2. Click Add Data Collect Checklist Row to start the dialog box.
    The Data Collect Checklist Row dialog box appears.

    The Row Type is Boolean and is not modifiable. Similarly, the Mode is Collected and is modifiable. The Number of Measurements is not available.

    The rest of the editor is similar to the editor for a Boolean Row created on a Data Collect Plan.

  3. Create your required rows.
    The created Rows are listed in the Data Collect Checklist panel.

    You can also use Unlink a Resource from a Data Collect Row or Link a Resource to a Data Collect Row see Data Collect Plan Dialog box.

  4. Select a Row and click Modify Data Collect Checklist Row to edit the content.
  5. Select a Row and click Remove Data Collect Checklist Row to remove the Row.
  6. Select a Row and use the reordering commands to change its Rank, reorder the Row.

    Select:

    • Increase Rank Order
    • Move After
    • Decrease Rank Order

  7. Selecting Edit Row Attributes brings up Customization.


    By default, only the following columns are visible.

    • Rank
    • Label
    • Value or Values
    • Requirement Link
    • Text

    These columns can be hidden/shown and reordered with respect to each other.

    Note: Other columns can be made visible using Column Customization. But these columns are not relevant for the Data Collect Checklist.

    Rows linked to Requirements being unassigned remove automatically when Requirements are unassigned.
