Manipulating a Product

Once you have opened a product, you can drag, rotate, or lift it. How to manipulate the product depends on whether you are using a non-touch or a touch device.

Manipulate a Product on Non-Touch Devices

You can manipulate a product on non-touch devices using the mouse or the dedicated command in the action bar.

Choose your preferred method:

To...Using the mouse...From the action bar...
Rotate the product Click and hold the middle and left mouse buttons, then drag vertically or horizontally.Click Rotate , then drag horizontally or vertically.
Pan the productClick and hold the middle mouse button, drag vertically or horizontally then release. Click Pan , then click and drag in any direction.
Lift the productClick and press Shift, then drag to lift the product.

Release the mouse button and watch the model fall on the ground with a bouncing effect.

Manipulate a Product on Touch Devices

You can use touch gestures to manipulate a product on touch devices. For more information, see Touch Gestures.

  1. Place a finger on the object to manipulate.
    When symbols appear around the product, it means that the product is ready to be manipulated.
  2. Without releasing the finger, do one of the following:
    • To drag, put two fingers on the object and drag them in the same direction.
    • To rotate, drag one finger on the left or on the right.
    • To lift, drag three fingers up.
