About Prerequisites

You can make changes to a Configured BOM using a CA with applicability.

By default, Configured BOM changes are considered parallel changes, which can be implemented in any sequence. When changes must be implemented in a specific sequence, a CA with applicability can be defined as prerequisites for other CAs with applicability. The CAs with applicability that have dependencies between them must be implemented or in a specific sequence to avoid conflicts. When releasing any CA with applicability, the system automatically disconnects all from-side prerequisite relationships.

Prerequisites

Prerequisite relationships are created automatically when multiple changes occur on the same relationship with different context change objects. A prerequisite is required to ensure the change object with an ADD operation is released first, and then the CUT operations.

Prerequisites for a CA with applicability can be defined from the Prerequisites link in the CA categories.

If there are modifications to parts with pending changes that are not a context change, a prerequisite relationship is created between those changes.
