Home Page

When you select xStudio from the Compass, the home page appears. The home page provides options to start working in xStudio.

Options Descriptions
Restore Brings you back to the latest version of your xStudio Experience even if it has not yet been saved in the database. The recovery is available for 10 minutes after leaving the Experience, for example because the browser stopped unexpectedly or you went to the home page by clicking Home in the action bar.
New Creates a new xStudio Experience.

Open Opens an existing xStudio Experience from the database.

Import Imports a locally stored 3D XML file directly into the 3DEXPERIENCE database.

For more information, see Importing 3D XML Files. This option is only available on desktop devices.

Job Monitor Opens the render job monitor. It provides you an overview of all existing render jobs available for your xStudio Experiences and their current status. Furthermore it offers the possibility to download or publish the media of completed render jobs.

Drag and drop your content anywhere You can create a new xStudio Experience by dragging supported content, like products or ambiences directly from 3DSearch to the app. To open an exiting Experience, you can drag a 3D XML, or an xStudio Realtime Experience. If you drag a locally stored HDR, or an image in .png, .jpg, or .jpeg format the Ambience Creation dialog box opens. You can also drag files from 3DDrive.

User Assistance Opens the xStudio user guide in the User Assistance portal.
User's Community Opens the official 3DEXPERIENCE platform user community.
Recent Experience Appears in the right area of the home page as soon as you started working with xStudio. It opens one of the last four recently used xStudio Experiences when selecting it.
