Creating Tasks for a Single Asset from the Information Panel

You can create a collaborative task for a single asset from the Information panel.

Opening Tasks Associated with Assets
  1. From a collaborative space or a collection, open the Information panel.

    For more information, see Opening the Information Panel of Assets.

  2. In the Information panel, select the NETWORK section, and click (tap) Create Task .
  3. In the Create Task dialog box, enter a user-friendly descriptive title for the task.
  4. Enter a description for the task.
  5. Optional: From the Parent Project list, select a parent project to associate your task with.

    For more information, see the Project Planning User's Guide.

    Note: The functionality is available only if you are assigned the Project Planner role.

  6. Enter the name of one or more collaborators to whom you want to assign the task.

    Note: You can enter the name of an entire group of collaborators.

  7. Select an estimated end date for the completion of the task.
  8. Click (tap)Add.

  • You create a task and the selected asset is automatically included as an attachment.
  • You can follow the progress and development of the task after its creation, using the Collaborative Tasks and Project Planning apps.
  • Collaborators automatically receive notifications about the lifecycle of the tasks that you assign to them.
