Instance

Using the Information panel, you can view properties of objects that you select in the child product list. To view the properties of one or more instances:

  1. Open the root or parent product.
  2. Select Usage view in the product list toolbar.
  3. Select the instances in the list.
  4. Click Information and select the Instance tab.

Field Description
Type The object type, such as a physical product.
Instance Title (can be edited)

The user-defined title of the object.
Description (can be edited)

The description of the object, if defined. If you enter a URL, an email address, or a File Transfer Protocol link, this text is clickable and opens the link.

Owner (can be edited)

To change the owner, use 3DSearch to select a user.

Important: You can only select a user that is in the same collaborative space and organization. For more information, see Changing the Owner of Objects and Moving Objects to Another Collaborative Space or Organization.

Creation Date

The date and time when the object was created.
Modification Date

The date and time when the object was last modified. If not modified, this date is the same as the Creation Date.

Organization The group or company that contains the object.
Collaborative Space

The collaborative space the object belongs to.
Locked By The user who has locked the corresponding product or document.
