Customizing Preferences in the Graph Editor

You can customize preferences for the Graph Editor.

  1. From the menu, select More options > Settings .
  2. Specify your options according to your needs.

    Section Description
Display Show flow information: displays the dimensions of your structures on the dataflows.
Display grid: displays a grid in the background of the editor.
Grid magnet: positions a node along the lines of the grid when you move the node.
Display beta operators: displays Beta operators in the library. For more information, see About Beta Operators.
Automatic 3D reframe from selection: reframes automatically the 3D area's view on the output geometry when you select an operation or a group of operations.
Enable node shadows: displays a shadow effect on your nodes.
Add category colors: displays the color of the operators' category on your nodes.
Automatic hide: hides automatically a new operation if it does not generate a geometry.
Overlay Background opacity: defines the opacity of the Graph Editor's view when the Overlay Mode is selected.

For more information, see Operators Library.

Edition Memorize input values when editing an operation: stores the input values of an operation when you edit it in the graph editor.

Only the following parameters are stored:

    • All numeral inputs (such as length, angle, real, or integer.)
    • Boolean

Initialize created operations with memorized input values: applies the stored input values to a new operation when it has the same type as an operator previously added to the graph.
Update Display update duration: provides the number of evaluations and the update time of an operation on its node.
