To create an option, do one of the following:
- To create an option for an option group in the context of Enterprise
Variability, do the following:
- From the left navigation pane, select Enterprise Variability.
- Select the Options tab. For more information,
see Options Tab.
- From the Action menu or context menu of an option, click Create Option.
- To create an option in the context of an open option group, do the following:
- Open an option group. For more information, see Opening an Option Group.
- From the option group's page toolbar, click Create Option.
- To create an option in the context of a model version and automatically
allocate it to that model version, do the following:
- Open a model version. For more information, see Opening a Model Version.
- On the Variability tab, from the context menu or Action menu of an option group, select
Attach Options.
- In the Options tab of the option group's
properties, click New.
The New Option dialog box opens.

Enter a title for the new option.

Optional: Enter a description of the option.

Optional: To select an image for the new option, do one of the following:
- Drag an image into the Image field.
- Click Upload Image, browse to the image, then
click Open.

To create the option, do one of the following:
If you create an option group within the context of a model version, it is
also available in Enterprise Variability to be allocated to other model
versions. It is automatically selected. If Information
panel is open, the Options tab opens. If the newly added
option group is not visible in the viewport, then the view scrolls to show
it.
A new option is created with a unique, system-generated
Name and the specified Title. Options
are created in the Exists lifecycle state.
