Importing and Exporting Team Projects

You can import and export team projects in the CSV file format. Enterprise projects cannot be imported or exported.

Import a Team Project

You can import a project from a CSV file.

  1. Click Import Project.
  2. Click Select File and select the CSV file from the file chooser dialog.
  3. Select Import as new project or Update an existing project .

    Note: The option to Update an existing project is available only when the file selected is checked for the existence of a URI in the header.

  4. Click Open.
    A pop-up window displays the import progress and shows any errors. After each item completes successfully, it disappears from the pop-over. Items that are errors (red) and warnings (orange) remain for your analysis.

    You receive a notification of "Long-running Processes." For a successful import, you receive a notification in 3DNotifications and the created project appears in the list of projects. For a failed import and partial import, you receive a notification in 3DNotifications. You can also have a partial import in the case of errors or warnings.

Export a Team Project

You can export a project to a CSV file.

  1. Click on the board to the right of the project name.
  2. On the properties panel, click Export.
    When the export completes, the export file name appears in your system tray.

    The CSV file name consists of the project name and the date.

    The format for the export file is the same as for an import file. The export file has an additional URI column that can be used to import modifications to the exported project. If you want to create a new project based on an export, delete the URI column for the project.
