Synchronizing Documents with POA Data

You can synchronize out of sync contents in an Adobe Illustrator document with the current POA data in 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Before you begin: Ensure that text frames are associated to artwork elements of a POA. For more information about associating text frames to an artwork element, see Mapping an Artwork Element.
  1. In Adobe Illustrator, open a document that contains text frames associated to artwork elements of a POA in 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
  2. In Adobe Illustrator, click Window > 3DEXPERIENCE Copy & Artwork > Artwork Assembly to open the Artwork Assembly panel.
  3. Search for a POA and associate it with the artwork file. For more information, see Associating POAs.
The Artwork Assembly panel is updated with the POA's artwork elements data. In the Artwork Assembly panel, is displayed for the artwork elements if the copy contents from the POA and the text frame to which it is linked do not match. A red border is shown around the text frame that has content that does not match.
  4. Click Synchronize Elements.

The contents in the Adobe Illustrator document is synchronized with the current POA data in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Note: If you want to maintain styling and formatting on text areas, in the 3DEXPERIENCE Preferences dialog box, in the Artwork tab, select Yes for the Server-side Text Style option.
