Projects

The Project Information tab for a Project displays its general information.

This shows the following categories of information:

• General Information: Provides the title and description of the Project, and its creation and modification dates. See Creating a Project.
• Target: Describes the target specified for the Project and its description. See Select a Target.
• Lifecycle: Reports the current lifecycle status of the Project and the access rights available for each status. See Launching a Project.
• Members: Lists all the users who can access the Project and their rights to view and make edits. See Add Project Members.

Click  to open a menu and choose the section of the Project Information to view.

The Innovation Profile is a list of the requirements to study to find the "perfect" drug answering an unmet medical need. The requirements include regulation, efficiency, physical or chemical attributes, regarding the targeted market, and so on.

Click  to open a predefined query for Innovation Profiles.

The Discovery Decision Path tab defines the innovation strategy employed to determine the best candidate for a Project.

You can describe the Discovery Decision Path as a tree with branches comprising:

• Characteristics
• Questions
• Tests
• Protocols
• Consolidated Answers

At each deeper level in the tree, you can more specifically define the item.

The Stages Sequence tab determines the order of the Stages for the Project and displays the tests in the Discovery Decision Path associated with each Stage.

In the Stages Sequence you can:

•  Create a new Stage.
•  View and import Stages from other Projects.
•  Expand all Stages.
•  Collapse all Stages.
•  Open a dialog with hints on using the Stages Sequence.

For each Stage you can:

•  Drag the Stage to change its position in the sequence.
•  View the number of Tests in the Stage.
•  View the number of organized Tests in the Stage.
•  View the number of Candidates in the Stage.
•  Delete the Stage.
•  Launch or complete the Stage.
•  Organize Tests in the Stage.

The Candidates tab displays a list of all Candidates involved in the Project and provides information about their current stage.

This lists the Candidates depending on their current Stage, from the most advanced to the earliest (indicated by a colored box). See Choosing Candidates.

For each candidate,  indicates the number of consolidated answers available.

Candidates that are promotable to the next stage, have a  icon. See Promoting Candidates.

When you open a candidate, it has the following tabs:

• General Information: shows the current stage for the candidate and whether it is promotable.
• Consolidated Answers Tree: displays a view of the Discovery Decision Path for the candidate.
• Decisions: lists previous decisions for the candidate. Click for a decision to open its details in the Decisions tab.

The Heat Map tab allows you to access all Candidates in a Project and to see if there are results available corresponding to these Candidates for the innovation strategy. This view provides features to collect these data in informative overviews.

You can manipulate the Heat Map:

•  Choose to hide any element or open its details in a new app.
•  Display hidden elements.
•  Pivot the heat map to switch between listing tests on the left or above the grid.
•  Show the caption describing the colors used in the tests and Candidates grid.

The Tasks tab shows the tasks for a Study request to obtain results from Candidates tests.

Each Study request has the following tabs:

• General Information: Shows the current lifecycle of the Study request, its estimated start and end dates, and the assignees.
• Subtasks: Lists the subtasks in the Study, corresponding to the requested Tests.

When you open a subtask, it has the following tabs:

• General Information: shows the current lifecycle of the subtasks, its estimated start and end dates, and the assignees.
• Protocol: The Discovery Decision Path Protocol selected for the corresponding Test for this subtask.
• Candidates: The Candidates that this subtask investigates.

As a Study request progresses you can update its status, see Requesting a Study and Completing a Study Request.

The Decisions tab shows all candidate promotion decisions for the project.

When you promote a candidate with a decision, this adds an item to the Decisions.

Each decision has the following tabs:

• General Information: Shows time and date, title, description, and owner of the decision.
• Documents: Lists all supporting documents for the decision. Click  to download a document.

The Locked Items tab shows items that another user is already editing.

Innovation Design & Decisions manages concurrent access through a reservation system.

When someone begins working on an innovation strategy, it is locked. If another user attempts to edit this element, they must wait until the first user finishes their edits and the item is unlocked.

Administrators can unlock items in case of emergency, see Unlocking Items.
