About Editing Structural Members and Footings

You can edit a single structural member or footing or multiple members of the same type.

To edit a single structural member or footing, you select only the member you need to edit. To edit multiple structural members or footings, you must select members that are the same type and use the Multiple Edit feature.

The structural member types that you can edit singly or in selected multiples are:

  • Cast Beam
  • Cast Column
  • Cast Beam Pattern
  • Cast Brace
  • Catalog Column
  • Catalog Beam
  • Catalog Beam Pattern
  • Catalog Brace
  • Bar Joist Pattern
  • Bar Joist
  • Grid-Driven Plates

The footing types that you can edit are:

  • Isolated Footing
  • Strip Footing
  • Pile Arrangement
  • Pile Feature (that is, an individual pile within a pile arrangement.)
Note: You can also edit an individual User Defined Footing. However, you must edit each different User Defined Footing separately.

To edit one or more pile features, from the context toolbar, use the Edit Pile command.
