There are some actions that you cannot undo. These fall into two categories:
- Actions that affect the user interface view, but not formula data. Examples are:
- Creating, opening, cloning, and closing formulas
- Toggling between the main view and the summary view of a formula
- Changing the layout of columns (adding, deleting, renaming, reordering, resizing)
- Showing and hiding certain row types (showing and hiding processing instructions, expanding and collapsing composite ingredient rows)
- Changing settings that affect the display of the formula but not its data, such as summary view options
- Actions that cannot be undone other reasons, typically because they involve other
applications, or because they are irreversible by design. Examples are:
- Generating reports
- Linking formulas to Scientific Notebook experiments
- Marking formulas as reviewed
