Reviewing and Editing Pathway Information

You can review the details of a pathway model, and make updates to the title, description, and annotations.

Review Pathway Information

You can review the information for the pathway model in the Pathway Information panel.

  1. For an open pathway model, click in the toolbar.
    This opens the Pathway Information panel. This displays a complete description of the pathway model, including the name of the user that imported the model.
  2. Click to expand the sections and review any annotations for the pathway model.
    • Description
    • Disease
    • Tissues
    • Other Annotations

You can review all the pathway information.

Edit Pathway Information

You can edit the information describing the pathway model. You cannot edit the information if you are not the owner of a pathway model.

  1. For an open pathway model, click in the toolbar.
    This opens the Pathway Information panel.
  2. Click for the pathway title.
  3. Enter the required title and click elsewhere or press Tab.

    Tip: The title of the pathway model generates as part of the default file name during export. See Exporting Models.

    This updates the title of the pathway.
  4. Choose whether to use a cell template for the model's display.
  5. Click for the description and edit the text.
    This updates the description of the pathway.
  6. Optional: For each of the annotation groups:
    1. For the category of annotation to add, click .
      This adds a new empty annotation, with your trigram and the current date.
    2. Enter a description of the annotation.

      For a number of standard biological data resources, you can enter the URL for the evidence in the annotation. Living Map automatically converts this to a readable annotation. For more information on the supported resources, see Pathways.

    3. Enter the web address for the Evidence.
    4. For the annotation, click to add further evidence.

    Tip: You can also add annotations to entities and interactions. See Configuring Entities and Configuring Interactions.

The updates to the title, display, description, and annotations save to the pathway model.
