Scenarios Section

The Scenarios section of the action bar provides commands for creating and setting up scenarios.

This page discusses:

Simulation Object Creation
Creates a simulation object from the current physical product.

Finite Element Model
Selects or creates the finite element model to use in your simulation.
See Applying a Finite Element Model to a Simulation.

Create Analysis Case
Creates a new analysis case.
See Creating and Duplicating Analysis Cases.

Duplicate Analysis Case
Copies an existing analysis case.
See Creating and Duplicating Analysis Cases.

Output
Requests the type of output from the simulation.
See Defining Output Requests.

Static Perturbation Step
Configures a static stress analysis procedure as a linear perturbation about a base state.
See Defining Static Perturbation Steps.

Buckle Step
Performs a stress/displacement eigenvalue buckling analysis to estimate the critical buckling loads of stiff structures.
See Defining Buckle Steps.

Group Manager
Displays an interactive list of groups that allows modification, update, and deletion.
See About the Group Manager.

Spatial Group
Creates a group of mesh entities that lie within a bounding box or sphere.
See Creating Spatial Groups.
Proximity Group
Creates a group containing all the mesh entities in a selected region.
See Creating Proximity Groups

Coupling
Joins two regions using either a rigid or a spring-loaded connection behavior.
See Defining Couplings.

Connector
Joins two regions using either a simple connection or a predefined combination of simple connections.
See Defining Connectors.

Fixed Displacement
Restricts specific degrees of freedom for regions of the model.
See Applying Fixed Displacement.

Pressure
Applies a distributed load normal to a surface.
See Applying Pressures.

Force
Applies a translational load in a single direction on an area.
See Applying Forces.

Gravity
Applies a linear force that acts uniformly on all bodies in the model.
See Applying Gravity.

Applied Rotation
See Flyout for Translations/Rotations.

Connector Force
Applies a force to a connector.
See Flyout for Connectors.

Connector Translation
See Flyout for Connector Translation Options.
