What's New

This page describes recent changes in Flow Driven Generative Design.

This page discusses:

R2022x FD01 (FP.2205)

Match Surfaces

You can now create a match feature to connect the created subdivision surfaces with inlets and outlets.
If the part is symmetric, the command creates a match feature to connect the created subdivision surfaces with the symmetry plane and keep the match feature normal to this plane.

Benefits: This new command ensures that the associativity between the match feature and the inlets or outlets are kept.
For more information, see Matching Surfaces

Generate an Exact Geometry Using the Generate Design Command

You can now define the reconstruction output for the subdivision surface.
Benefits: This is a new way to generate better quality design, with smoother connections to inlets and outlets, and more regular subdivision surfaces.
For more information, see Generating the Design

Running Flow Optimizations on the Cloud

You can now run a flow optimization on a Dassault Systèmes cloud server if your company has purchased cloud roles and licensing.
Benefits: Dassault Systèmes cloud computing lets you run flow optimization simulations without maintaining a 3DEXPERIENCE installation on premises. Cloud computing also enables you to take advantage of high-performance job execution and visualization to run simulations quickly and to view their results in a fast, responsive environment.
