Setting up a Simulation

You can define the preferences to apply during a simulation.

Before you begin: Create an assessment template. For more information, see Managing Assessment Templates.

  1. From the Design section of the action bar, click Experiment Setup .
  2. In the Experiment Setup dialog box, configure the following preferences:

    Option Description
    Start time Starting time of the simulation.
    Note: The start time must be equal to or greater than zero.
    Stop time Ending time of the simulation.
    Note: The stop time must be equal to or greater than zero.
    Integrator Algorithm used to solve the differential equations.

    By default, the algorithm is DASSL.
    Tolerance Accuracy of the integration.
    Interval Length Interval between two consecutive computations.
    Note: The Interval Length and Number of intervals options are mutually exclusive. You can specify either the interval length or the number of intervals.
    Number of intervals Number of computed intervals.
